Tommi's frog Mr T
My tadpole has grown long back legs. On the 26th of April, I noticed he had little front legs and they got bigger. We moved him into a terrarium with a small pond and some plants to hide in. On the 27th of April, Mr T hopped out of the water. He still has his tail but doesn't need to be in the water anymore. We don't need to feed him at the moment because he has food stored in his tail. His tail will slowly shrink and disappear. When they are tadpoles they need water to live in. When they are frogs they need a damp place to live. They absorb water through their skin. On the 3rd of May, Mr T's tail was gone, he is now a frog.

DeleteTommi the photos and all the super information about Mr T is awesome. You have told me things that I didn't know, like the tail being food storage. Thank you for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome recount of Mr T's life and changing into a frog. You know a lot about tadpoles and what happens to them when they change into a frog. I have learnt a lot from your writing Tommi. Way to go!
